**Formula for Converting Average Voltage to RMS Voltage**

For a full-wave rectified sinusoidal waveform, the conversion from average voltage to RMS voltage is based on the following:

**VRMS = Vavg ร ฯ/(2รโ2)**

Where:

- VRMS is the RMS voltage,
- Vavg is the average voltage,
- ฯ or pi is approximately 3.1416

**Example Calculation**

Letโs say you have a full-wave rectified signal with an average voltage of **10 V**. Use the calculator to convert this to RMS voltage value of **11.11 V.**
