What is the Baofeng Antenna Connector type?

Baofeng Radios have a SMA-Male Connector at the Antenna Input

Connector Details

There are two sets of threads (outside and inside) and that might lead people into mistakenly assuming that it is RP-SMA Female.

But that is not the case.

The threads on the outside are for the nut that mounts the antenna connector to the case. It ensures that the antenna is structurally attached to the radio chassis.

The threads on the inside are for the SMA-Female Antenna Connector or SMA-F adapter.
