How to Fix G703 Scroll Wheel Failure Issue
In this section we first identify general solutions that are independent of operating system. This is followed by solutions for Windows users and then Mac users.
Use Cabled Mode
Use the provided USB cable to plug the mouse into the PC and operate it in wired mode. If the scroll issue disappears then it’s most likely a wireless connectivity issue. In this case try the following two tips.
Use the USB extender
The USB extension adapter allows the placement of the wireless receiver closer to the peripheral such as a mouse. The image below shows how this is done.
With this recommended placement, the strength of the wireless signal (RSSI) is improved. This in turn improves the quality of the wireless link.
Remove sources of RF Interference
Electronic devices such as Wi-Fi access points, Bluetooth and microwave ovens operate in the same 2.4 GHz frequency range as the G703 wireless mouse. As a result they can interfere and cause drop outs and intermittent loss of connectivity. Removing these devices from near the mouse will ensure a more robust wireless link and potentially resolve the scrolling issue.
Clean the Mouse
